Broad Objective

Farmer Research Network (FRN) is an approach developed with an overall aim of increasing productivity and household incomes of smallholder farmers and other value chain actors in ensuring sustainability (social, economic and environmental) of smallholder farming systems through engagement of farmers in research.


DaCCA program which is being supported by Sustainable Energy(SE),Denmark through  DANIDA  fund, has been empowering  the vulnerable  communities  with relevant skills which has been helping  them push for devolution and natural resources governance in Kisumu  and Homabay counties .The programme is based on a Theory of Change(ToC),which seeks to have an increasingly qualified CSO sector that works closely with the most vulnerable groups (right-holders)and duty bearers on climate change adaptation   interventions .


CREP  Programn, a Kenyan Non Governmental Irganisation that was registered in 1997 and is based in Western Kenya, has been involved in promoting collection,  conservation , bulking and storage of both indigenous and improved seeds amongst community farmers, through different projects to enhance small scale farmers and other vulnerable communities access to approprite quality seeds for increased food and nutritional security and increased  household income. The ultimate goal of the organisation on its seed work is to enable the targeted communities to achive seed and food soverienity.
